Define the job you want to win
Describe one valuable customer situation in plain language. A repair workshop might want booked diagnostics; a furniture showroom might want visits for a particular range. “More traffic” does not tell the team which enquiries matter or what information the customer needs before contacting you.
List the locations you can actually cover, the work you accept and the next available step. A customer outside your area may still be suitable for a shipped product, but unsuitable for an urgent visit. Give each offer its own practical boundary instead of applying one radius to every service.
Answer the questions that delay contact
Ask the person answering calls which details they repeat most often. These may include availability, vehicle suitability, the condition of a property, delivery coverage or whether a site visit is needed. Put the answers beside the relevant service rather than burying them in a general company introduction.
Use genuine photographs with useful explanations. A decorator can describe the preparation included in a job without inventing a before-and-after result. A retailer can show dimensions and available finishes. Information that helps someone decide whether to enquire is more useful than repeating “quality service” across every page.
Use the same plan with the right local details
For a UK business, clarify the town or postcode area, whether visits need appointments and who answers enquiries during opening hours. For a US business, check city or ZIP coverage, dispatch arrangements and the time zone used for appointments. These are planning examples; the right details depend on the business, not assumptions about national behaviour.
| Customer situation | Information needed | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Car owner needs repair | Accepted work, location, booking process | Ask about a booking |
| Homeowner plans a renovation | Project scope, area, initial information | Discuss the project |
| Customer considers a sofa | Dimensions, finishes, viewing options | Arrange a showroom visit |
| Buyer needs a regional food product | Contents, delivery coverage, product availability | View the product or order |
Connect the page with the team answering enquiries
A useful page can still lose a customer when nobody knows who should reply. Choose an owner for each incoming channel and decide how an enquiry is handed over when that person is away. State a response expectation only when the business can reliably meet it.
A hypothetical plumbing company might receive many messages asking for work it does not offer. Improving the service explanation could be more useful than increasing reach. Review a small set of real, anonymised enquiry reasons before deciding whether the problem is visibility, expectations or availability.
Review suitable enquiries and completed work separately
Record whether an enquiry matched the service area and scope, whether a conversation happened and whether work was booked. A contact-button click alone cannot answer those questions. Keep the record simple enough for the business to maintain and avoid collecting details that are unnecessary for the decision.
DPA can discuss the website, content and advertising work needed for this process. We collaborate remotely from İzmir, Türkiye. The first conversation should identify your market, available material and priority service so that the proposed work fits the operation you already run.
- Choose one priority service and its coverage.
- Write the questions customers ask before booking.
- Check the contact route on a phone.
- Assign responsibility for answering and following up.
Frequently asked questions
Does every local business need paid advertising?
No. The starting point may be clearer service information, better enquiry handling or content for questions customers already ask. Advertising is a separate decision based on the offer, capacity and available budget.
Can DPA work with a business outside Türkiye?
Yes. DPA offers remote collaboration. Share your country, service area and preferred language so that scope, responsibilities and meeting times can be agreed.
